Pretty soon, that sidebar will have to be changed to read “26. California. Girl. Libra.” I don’t know if I will ever replace “Girl” with “Woman.” Still feel like a child most of the time.

I have been hanging out with a certain group of friends a lot lately. A bit too much. I need to take a break, but it never seems like the right time to disappear. Not necessarily disappear, but I need some time apart. It’s too much fun. Other aspects of my life have been sitting in the back burner, and that just isn’t right. I need to stop telling myself this and just get a move on.

These braces better be worth the pain! Bottom bands and wire are in. It actually didn’t hurt as badly as when they put in the spacers. I have another week and a half before the top bands and wires. Then, I will have to deal with rubber bands and all that jazz. WOOT – NOT.

Never change “girl”, even if you do feel like an adult. Just don’t change it.
    ;)

    Now I have Britney’s “Not just a girl….not yet a woman…” stuck in my head. ;)

My mom, who’s 62, says she never got used to it either. I try to change it up occasionally, but most of the time I still feel like a little kid regardless of what I’m calling myself.

You know, the meaning behind girl implies a sense of childishness while for guys, there’s not much of that implication as there is with a male being called a boy. Guys can say “I’m a guy!” all they want with all the positive and negative connotations associated with it. Maybe a more neutral classification of your femaleness should go there if you feel in between. But you can keep girl up there all you want, and I won’t think you as childish. Honestly with all that I’ve heard from you about your life, I think you’re past any childishness and are perfectly allowed to indulge in any activities that can be classified as such.

Ah yes, 26, the age when I wandered out of character and moved 2200 miles for reasons that are a bit sketchy at the moment. It seems like it all worked out pretty well though.

  6. What’s wrong w/having a bit too much fun? Never hurt anyone…well….except those that OD :)

Yes, but think of all the different color possibilities you can go with on your braces. You can spell out “I’m awesome” in just as many colors if you’d like.

I still feel like a girl too.
