The first day of 2008! I was out and about and didn’t get home until 6:30 in the morning. Then after sleeping for five or six hours, I went out for pho. In the afternoon, I then napped for several hours. So how did I spend my first day of the new year? Sleeping a whole lot! Well, not really a lot. Just enough to not feel completely worn out from the festivities of the night before.

Didn’t really go out and do anything crazy. Donna and I picked out champagne the night before, so I brought that over to Matthew’s apartment for a gathering of about 15-20. On the hour, we’d toast to the region celebrating the new year. A pretty mellow party of conversation, drinking, and eating.

Left that around 3 in the morning and headed over to Melroy and Al’s place. I probably should’ve just headed straight home after the first get-together, but I was still awake… It was more of a massage party.

“I’ll trade massages with you? Five minutes for five minutes?” asks Dan, this Asian kid with eye make-up on.

“Okay, I guess.”
