Going to an acupuncturist on a somewhat regular basis [I just switched from weekly to bi-monthly.] has made me more aware of my body and its functions. She asks me all these questions every time, and it surprised me at first how little attention I actually paid to my body. I’ve tried to take notice now, and it pays off because at each session, we can address the issues.
On another body-related note, I quit the gym yesterday. I was paying a monthly fee for facilities I was not using. It’s already the middle of the year, and I’m doing a very poor job on the resolution to get fit. I’m spending more time and money on partying and not enough on what’s important. So late last night, I signed up for The Bar Method. The first month of unlimited classes is $100, so I will see how that goes. Subsequently, it becomes much more expensive… The first class this morning was WAY too early [6am!] and has left me ridiculously sore. It was a good way to wake up the body though, and I am already signed up for tomorrow morning and mornings the rest of the week. Gotta make the most of the $100, I guess.
With the recommended 3-5 times weekly, I will have buns and thighs of steel! Unfortunately, unlike their other location and another studio with similar classes, they are not open on weekends. After the initial month, I may give the other studio a try to see if I like that one.
Immediate goals for the month [that seem to be the goals for the entire year]: study, work out, save $
Photo was taken on a hike I went on this weekend. I really love how I was able to capture the bee drinking water. Do you see its tongue!?
The photo below is of the ocean from the end of the trail.
