Love Fest 2008
It was Love Fest today!
A parade of floats with dance music, and then hours of dancing in a public plaza. Absolutely a blast, even with how crowded and crazy it was. I met up with Lauren to take photos of the floats, and somehow we ended up riding one of the floats down Market Street. [Thanks, Art Van!] Once we were down Market Street and into Civic Center, we wandered from float to float to see if there were any good shots to be taken. Of course, I was distracted by the fact that there was good music playing. Ended up dancing most of the time!
We caught up with RV and friends at some point. By the time that the sister and I left the area, it was already past dinner time. I’m surprised I’d not checked it out in previous years, but I’m very glad I did this year. I will definitely be back for the music and dancing. I was a little bummed that my Achilles tendon had been acting up earlier in the week. Also note that I am wearing a lot of black! It was much too warm. Must reconsider the wardrobe for next year.
I still haven’t taken the time to upload the rest of the pictures that I took. Maybe later this week.
