Karaoke, Flavored Soju
Last night, a group of us went out to sing some karaoke, eat some Korean food, and drink some soju. They have these private rooms at a place called Playground in SF. Unfortunately, it’s not cheap, and there aren’t a lot of these types of options here. I think there were definitely more choices in LA in terms of karaoke rooms! In Japan, there were some places that were open 24 hours a day, and there were ALWAYS specials during the middle of the week or during the day. I remember specials that included singing and unlimited drinking for an hour or two… Such fun times.

Here I am, singing with my eyes closed because I must have known the lyrics. I am also making a ridiculously goofy face, but WHATEVER. I’m not a good singer, but I think I can at least hit the right key and stay in tune. The mess on the table is where all the food WAS. Although you can’t tell from the picture, we squeezed about 15 of us into this tiny room. It was a ton of fun because I hadn’t seen some of the people in a long time. It’s always good to catch up over booze and tunes.
