Meet the Fjelldal from Ikea. This is the new addition to my room. Of course, it’s a monstrosity. It came in two boxes, one weighing 120 pounds… At least I know it’s sturdy? There was another option made of metal, but when we moved it around in the store, it made some scary squeaky sounds.
RV, my dad, and I worked on putting part of it together this afternoon, but we’re heading over to RV’s mom’s for dinner. So we’ll finish when we come back.
My room is a mess as a result. Not that it wasn’t a mess before, but this is making me move the dust around more. My sinuses are hating me. It will be such a relief to sort this room out!

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

I don’t really want to go into too many details but I once broke that bed……………and a computer underneath it……….and the desk the computer sat on……..and the bookcase next to the computer desk………….
@Amanda: I do not intend to do more than just sleep on it! And I’m not placing my computer under it… Just a bunch of clothes, maybe? I seriously hope it does not collapse while I’m underneath it!
Amanda’s comment is great.
My brother had a bunkbed growing up the whole thing, top and bottom. By the time he was in jr. high the bottom bed was sacrificed to put a desk underneath. His bed had no ladder, you just climbed up the structure, which was fun!
