Kitchen Art
I’m no artist, but rather than buy art for the kitchen, I decided to paint a little something. We had oil paints and a few blank 12×12 canvases lying around.
They’re three separate fish paintings with a fork, chopsticks, and a spoon. We LOOOOOVE fish – to fish for them and to eat them. They’re still drying…

no artist my butt!
i'd hang these with pride!
@Linda, likewise.
So any thoughts on hanging them? They work as photographed, but you could place the 3 panels side by side with gaps as a tryptich, or even on different surfaces.
I would definitely say you're an artist! I love how you incorporated the utensils – so creative!
The plan is to hang them as photographed with a gap between them. There's not a lot of wall space in the kitchen, just the panel to the left of the dishwasher/microwave.
I'm pretty sure my younger cousins [you know, still ages in the single digits] can do better than me. :P
Thanks, Ashleigh! I would've purchased art, but I think this was the only way to incorporate a little bit of ourselves into them.
I love it!
Love them! They're bright and happy. :)
LOL – what are you talking about?! The red one is clearly unhappy! :P
Those are CUTE! I love them! They seriously look like something you'd buy at a store. But so awesomely personal. :D
You aren't an artist? Could have fooled me! These are so pretty! I tend to love fish, too. In paintings and in real life.
