Cherry on Top of a Cherry!
So the cherry on top of my day was receiving an award from the Tsaritsa! In order to accept this award I have to do three things [not a fan of chain-type things, but FINE]:

1) Answer this question that Tasha posed: “If you had the chance to go back and change one thing in your life, would you and what would it be?”
While I try to live my life free of regrets, fully aware of the consequences of my decisions, there are still things that I could list off when it comes to what I could change because my life is full of changes. There is always something to work for, to strive for.
However, if I were to go back into the past to change ONE thing, it would probably be my reluctance to learn Chinese. The parents made my sister and me attend every Saturday morning, and I really wish I’d paid more attention and was more diligent about studying the language. I still speak more than most would expect, but it’s a little embarrassing to tell people just how many Saturdays were spent in Chinatown and what little I really retained.
2) Pick six people to pass the award on to. Their blog should be truly deserving.
Linda @ Curious Notions, Ange @ Lushlee, Ashley and Stephen @ (never home)maker [this counts as two, right?], Not That Kind of Girl, Dorry @ Living With Healthy Hunger.
3) Thank the person who gave you the award, in the form of a comment on this post.
Done!
To celebrate, my next post will be a giveaway. Stay tuned!

So true…my biggest regret was not studying abroad while I still had the chance.
Learning another language is hard, and you have to keep practicing! I took Spanish for five years and might be able to find my way if I ever needed to, but forget about conducting a conversation with me.
I think we all want to go back and try harder at school. Nerds :)
Thanks, friend!
i wish i knew how to read and write vietnamese. my parents never even thought of sending me to a vietnamese class. it's not to late for us though, dear. we should eventually make this priority!
If only I were young again and soaked up languages like a sponge! :) I was able to apply some of my Chinese to the Japanese classes I took in college, but yeah, that's down the tubes too. It's true when they say, “Use it, or lose it!”
Studying abroad is SUCH a great experience!!! It's not too late to just travel abroad, you know? Not quite the same, but the next best thing! :)
We finally figured out what's important? :P Yeah, big nerds.
thanks suki! I'm flattered to be on your list. xox
THANK YOU!! What an awesome thing to see – so sorry it took me so long to respond…
I really appreciate this and look forward to meeting you next week in Chicago!!
